Our History

Sapphire Stones Schools a co-educational day secondary school for boys and girls was started by a Christian widowed pensioner and retired school teacher, Mrs. J.I Akeredolu on the 22nd of September, 1997 but with the name “Molayo Children’s School”. It started operation with the nursery and primary section on 174, Meiran Road, Alagbado, Lagos and there were only eight pupils on admission with three teachers.

The secondary arm commenced operations on Monday, 22nd September, 1997 as “Sapphire Stones College.”  There were four teachers,one clerical staff, one cleaner and two students on admission on that day.

The nursery and primary section was approved by the Lagos State ministry of Education on 5th April, 1993 under the then headmaster, Late Mr. J. Erinle who retired on 1st December, 1998 and was replaced by Mrs O. Olusakin who is the Head of Primary section till date.

The secondary arm was also approved by the Lagos State Ministry of Education in December 2007.  Mrs O. Elegbede resumed office in September 2012 as the Principal/School Administrator and still remains in office till date.
